What is the CRT?
CRT stands for Community Resource Team. This is a
team of adults, primarily parents of students involved with
us, who look for ways to help strengthen and promote the work
of Student Venture in their community.
Why is the CRT important?
The CRT is the foundation for making Student Venture's outreach
effective in a community. Each school campus has it's own
CRT, and the members support each school ministry in some
really big ways.
How does the CRT support Student Venture?
The three primary ways the CRT helps our outreach is through
prayer, service, and finances.
PRAYER: Of course,
prayer is important to our outreach because we are totally
dependant upon God for everything we do. The goal of the prayer
team is to pray for every student at their school by name.
Prayer partners also commit to pray at least once a week for
Student Venture and to enlist other adults to pray. This really
is the most important role on the CRT.
SERVICE: The CRT service team helps Student
Venture by volunteering their time, skills, homes... just
about anything, to make us more effective. Some of these activities
include providing food for a meeting, hosting a meeting in
their home, helping with the city database, chaperoning events,
helping with mailouts, or just giving rides to and from events.
No service role is too small!
FINANCES: This part of the CRT is important
because our outreach does need money in order to operate.
The main way CRT members help us with finances is simply through
their donations. If your son or daughter is involved with
Student Venture, we'd like to ask you to help with monthly
or special gift giving. Other roles on the finance CRT
are helping with fundraising events, helping develop our budget,
and communicating to others about Student Venture.
