What? The Myrtle
Beach Getaway is THE event of the summer!!!
Join around 400 students from all over the east coast
for a week at
the beach
that you will never forget!
Who? All high school students
and youth leaders, including graduating seniors and those
entering ninth grade are welcome at the Getaway.
When? This summer - Sunday,
June 13th to Friday, June 18th.
Where? We will be staying
at a Landmark
Resort in
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Where & When Do I Meet on the
Day of the Trip?
Meet on Sunday, June 13th at the following locations:
East
Side: Meet at the Best Buy parking lot
in Waterford at Towncenter at 6:00 am.
West Side: Meet at the Publix parking lot on the corner
of 434 & Wekiva
Springs at 6:45 am.
We will meet back at the same location
on Friday, June 18th around 7:00 pm.
Band?
Tenth
Avenue North - Named GMA Dove Awards New Artist of
the Year (2009), Tenth Avenue North was the best-selling
and most played new Christian artist of 2008, scoring
three No. 1s at radio and crossing the 100,000 sales
mark with its debut Over and Underneath (5/20/08) in
just seven months. The band – Mike Donehey (lead
vocals/acoustic guitar), Jason Jamison (drummer) and
Jeff Owen (electric guitar/background vocals) – has
toured extensively over the last year in support of Over
and Underneath (crossing the 200,000 mark in total album
sales), and recently wrapped an impressive run of shows
on its very first headlining tour- “Inside and
In Between”. Tenth Avenue North is one of the few
debut bands that have experienced enough momentum to
headline its own tour with only one album under its belt.
Conference Cost? $379 if
registered/postmarked by May 5.

What’s Included? Conference cost
includes your $59 non-refundable registration fee, lodging
for
five nights, all dinners, two lunches and
training materials. Bring money for other meals, snacks
and bookstore.
Transportation Cost: $85
includes roundtrip on charter bus.

Need Help Paying for the Getaway?
Partcipate in the JogWalkon Sunday, May 16th. Apply for a Scholarship
Online.
What do I need to bring?
Bible, pen, notebook, modest swimwear, athletic clothing,
spending money for book store. No computers please.
Required Forms: Each participant must submit
either a parent/guardian-signed release form if a minor (under
age 18), or a self-signed
release form if 18 or older. Please download, fully complete
and return the age-appropriate form:
Register Online: Download and complete the
age-appropriate release form, then register online by entering
your information
at the link below; you can pay the $59 non-refundable registration
fee with a credit card online or mail a check (payable to “Student
Venture”) to the Conference Administrator or give to
your Student Venture leader. Please return the completed
release form with your registration fee.

and the required release form (or give to your Student Venture

Volunteers? As a volunteer,
you have the opportunity to make an eternal investment
in the lives of high school students during this conference!
If accepted, you will receive a $100 scholarship which
makes the cost $279. All interested volunteers must fill
out the online Getaway Volunteer Interest Form by Clicking
Here. As a volunteer, you are able to participate in
the JogWalk Fundraiser as well to help raise money towards
your Conference cost.
