What? The Myrtle
Beach Getaway is THE event of the summer!!!
Join around 400 students from all over the east coast
for a week at
the beach
that you will never forget!
Who? All high school students
and youth leaders, including graduating seniors and those
entering ninth grade are welcome at the Getaway.
When? This summer - Sunday,
June 12th to Friday, June 17th.
Where? We will be staying
at a Landmark
Resort in
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Where & When Do I Meet on the
Day of the Trip?
Meet on Sunday, June 12th at
the following locations:
East
Side: Meet at the Best Buy parking lot
in Waterford at Towncenter at 6:00 am.
West Side: Meet at the Publix parking lot on the corner
of 434 & Wekiva
Springs at 6:45 am.
We will meet back at the same location
on Friday evening, June 17th around 6:30 pm.
Conference Cost? $410 if received/postmarked by May 7, 2011 $435 if registered/postmarked after May 7, 2011 (includes $50 non-refundable registration fee due at time of registration)
What’s Included? Conference cost includes your $50 non-refundable registration fee, lodging for five nights, all dinners, two lunches and training materials. Bring money for other meals, snacks and bookstore.
Roundtrip Transportation Cost: $100.
Total Cost: $510 if received/postmarked by 5/7/11. $535 if received/postmarked after 5/7/11.
Volunteers? As a volunteer,
you have the opportunity to make an eternal investment
in the lives of high school students during this conference! All interested volunteers must fill
out the online Getaway Volunteer Interest Form by Clicking
Here. As a volunteer, you are able to participate in
the JogWalk Fundraiser as well to help raise money towards
your Conference cost.
Need Help Paying for the Getaway?
Partcipate in the JogWalkon Saturday, May 14th. Apply for a Scholarship
Online.
What do I need to bring? Bible, pen, notebook, casual clothes, jacket for cool nights, modest one-piece swimwear, camera, and money for bookstore, snacks and any meals not included, and for optional activities.
Required Forms: Each participant must submit
either a parent/guardian-signed release form if a minor (under
age 18), or a self-signed
release form if 18 or older. Please download, fully complete
and return the age-appropriate form:
Register Online: Download and complete the
age-appropriate release form, then register online by entering
your information
at the link below; you can pay the $50 non-refundable registration
fee with a credit card online or mail a check (payable to “Student
Venture”) to the Conference Administrator or give to
your Student Venture leader. Please return the completed
release form with your registration fee.
Register by Mail: If unable to register online,
download a registration form, complete and mail in with
the $50 non-refundable
registration fee (check payable to “Student Venture”)
and the required release form (or give to your Student Venture
leader).
